Pitru Dosh Calculator
Pitru Dosh is read from your 9th house (the house of father and ancestors) and its connection to Rahu, Ketu, Saturn, and the Sun — said to reflect unresolved ancestral patterns.
This calculator checks all six classical indications against your actual chart, rather than a generic answer.

The six indications checked
Sun sharing a sign with Rahu or Ketu; Rahu or Ketu occupying the 9th house; the 9th house's own ruling planet sharing a sign with Rahu or Ketu; the Sun in the 9th house alongside Saturn, Rahu or Ketu; the 9th house ruler being debilitated; and Jupiter with Rahu together in the 9th house.
How the verdict is scored
Each indication present adds to the count: none is read as no clear indication, one as mild, two as moderate, and three or more as a strong indication — all calculated directly from your 9th house, not a generic template.
What to do with this result
Pitru Dosh is a classical indicator meant to guide attention and remedy (such as Tarpan or Shraddha rituals), not a prediction — its real significance is best read alongside the rest of your chart in a full consultation.
